22 Sept 2006 - Friday :: My Uni friends!!
Saturday, September 23, 2006
Met up with my gang on friday at Billy Bombers. Had intended to go shopping before meeting them as i finished early on friday. But didnt expect to finish work at 730pm, had so much interuption during the day with the users and thus couldnt finish my own work...
Keeping that aside, had a good and balling time with my friends, been 3 months plus since i last saw them. Talked about our work, lifes and what has been the latest issues and stuff like that. The usual of rubbish and nonsense and bull shit were thrown in:: the good old days in school.
Took us ages to actually finish eating and ordering our food as we kept on talking, laughing and laughing and more laughing.....
After food, drinks were on the next menu. Went to Indochine to chill, the band was playing the fav songs and we just sang and swayed to the tune. Chilling with friends have always been rare during school times, but since our status has changed to working adults, we had made it a point to come out at least once a month to meet up and chill.
Next stop::MOS in October. Our Ocktober fest!!

16 Sept 2006 - Saturday :: Novotel Wedding Show
Sunday, September 17, 2006
Came across this ad in the newspaper and forums regarding a wedding show, and so why not attend one and see what events actually happen.
So signed up for the Novotel Wedding show; in which this is my very first wedding show!!
Arrived a little late prior to an earlier appointment, and when me and dar reached, we were shocked to see quite a number of couples there, talking to the vendors and watching the show that was going on in the ballroom.
What i was looking forward was the Gown show: Models were modelling in the different designs of the gowns by dio Gio. The wedding gowns were beautiful, the models too, definitely of course!
But oh my, each gown cost about $4000 odd, coz of the laces, the beads, the intricate designs and the quality. Some were sensual and ...... Iam lost of words.. Haha..
No wonder preople always say a woman loooks best on her wedding day!!
After the show, i went to meet the consultants if they had any ROM packages that suited my budget, and i managed to get one that cost $380. The usual price is which almost all bridal studio provides, just a variation of certain things. So i got 1) OTR / Bring home gown 2) Makeup and hair styling 3) Flower Bouquet. On top of that, rental on the hair accessories or jewellery.
I was told if i wanted extra stuffs for myself, i can go and get it and they will put it on, so will be planning to get fake eyelashes! This is to enhance the look for the photoshoot, definitely got to look pretty!!
So will be going down to choose my simple dress to match my yellow cum brown heels that i bought in Bangkok some time back. So exciting, will be taking photos for the dress i try on.
Took lots of pics during the show,but here are some of my favs....... Enjoy!!

15 Sept 2006 - Friday :: Dinning at a secluded restuarant
Friday, September 15, 2006
Went with dar to a ulu restuarant selling zichar. I thought that the food serving and the standard would be horrible but to my surprise, it wasnt. There were only 2 tables occupied when we stepped into the place, and i was wondering, how to make money like that?
So dar told me that they usually earn money from the old , regular customers. The place is rather old, it's located at the 1st level at a community centre! Imagine how old it is, usually there wouldnt be any restuarants located at a community centre, but this one has. Didnt really catch the name of the CC, but it's located at 921A Upper Bukit Timah Road KHEK ASSOCIATION BUILDING. I managed to find the address on google, wow......
We ordered typical zichar food: Hotplate Tofu, deer meat in black pepper, and his fav: Pork Ribs in honey sauce.
The tv was on at the same time, so watched and ate. Along the meal, i was greeted by this super big lizard, but oh well it ran away b4 i could snap a pic at it........
It was a good meal that ends the week well, and on top of that, it ended perfect for a busy and hectic friday that i had as well.

The first dish was a plate of peanuts, doesnt taste great at all,and I thought the dishes that we ordered would also have the same standard.But....

Then this dish came and wet my appetite....Yummy

The signature signboard The right colour scheme to match the atmosphere.

13 Sept 2006 -Wedneday :: Harbourfront Centre
Wednesday, September 13, 2006
Went to Harboutfront centre for the mega sale, called the BigMega Store Sale. It was the 'preview' sale for all civil servants, and so went to see if there was any good deals that i can grab. Initally took a nice purple, satin cushion to use in my office, but when i approached the queue, it was mad!!
The queue was super long! So my dear bf couldnt wait, and in the end dumped the pillow at some other section and left. Nothing else caught my eye, the plasma tvs were nice and at a affordable rate, but then no point for us to buy; no where to keep. Haha, anyways there will always be sale at those dept stores and iam sure a better deal will come up.
Since we were at Harbourfront, i happen to see my 'ship'!! SuperStar Virgo - it was huge!! Really nice too, with all the bright lights, the ship really reminded of the Titanic, the steam escaping, the horn sounding... How i wish i was setting on sail.....

The SuperStar Virgo: the decks and the lit rooms, i only have 1 word to say. Wow.....

10 Sept 2006 - Sunday :: Day with Little Kids
Monday, September 11, 2006
Had a super fun time, went to my best friend new and newly renovated house at Jalan Samarinda, which is quite near my hse, only 4 stops away!! So convenient!!
Anyways she invited me over to have a look and to help out in any way i can, be it commenting or clearing or hanging any furniture. We also reminisced about the past in JC days and our love life; from young till now, how our lifes have changed and how it has become. Going through the pictures that she has kept them in the beautiful photo album makes me realise that i shld go and find my old photos and start putting them nicely in photo albums!
Her aunties, uncles, cousins all came and we all had a good nice dinner together, we watched tv, some of them chit chatted, and i played with the kids! Her cousins are so cute and adorable, the lovely girls.. I love girls!! They are so cute n naughty n cheerful and carefree!!
They jump, they run, they cry, get carried around... I dont have any cousins who are about 2-5 yrs old, but when iam with my best friend's cousins, i get so learn so much; from the proper hygiene to carrying them. I just so happy playing with them - screaming and laughing non stop!!
Kids just try to be cute but yet naughty....
Overall, wonderful and meaningful time spent with the kids!!

9 Sept 2006 - Saturday :: Expo Galore
Sunday, September 10, 2006
Went to Expo on this hot and humid Sat at about 12pm. There were many exhibitions going on, 1st : The World Food Fair, 2nd) Furniture - Elgance Home 2006, 3) John Little Mega Sale.
There were a lot of people visiting food fair,which had lots of things on sale, but the prices were not any cheaper at all. Certain food that is new in the market were featured. The usual food were like Katong Laksa, City Satay, cakes, pies etc.......
It was super crowed, many aunties, uncles, mothers, fathers, teenagers, adults, children.... Practically almost the whole of Spore came, in all sorts of ages and sizes....
Wasnt much impressed though, there were lesser booths that sold food, but more seats and tables for people to enjoy their food. Bought the necessary food and left for the furniture fair.
It was so quiet, there were few people. Walked around to see the different designs and to get the quotations of interior designs for houses. Some of the designs were really pretty and modern, (love the Manhattan designs) some were simple and zen-like, reno does cost a lot! It is at least a ten grand; but i still do not know what my home theme would be like, still looking around and deciding.
Some of the sales personal were quite pushy, they asked us to engage them as designers, but told them that we're not interested at the moment. I would want to scout for more designs and better quotations, had to sit down and 'chit chat' with them till i was super bored of all their qns which i wasnt interested to answer. I just want to see the designs only!! Still can say no obligations to sign... Ironic.
It was a really hot day, good for tanning actually. But slept most of the afternoon, the air con in the room and heat outside, a good combi for lazing the afternoon away......

8 Sept 2006 - Friday :: JB Outing
Saturday, September 09, 2006
Took off today to go for an appointment with HDB, our first appointment with HDB in regards to our resale flat. The whole process was bad, was a bit pissed off though. The seller and his agent was late, our appointment was at 9am. It stated clearly that we need to be punctual, when it comes to such appointment, why cant pp just be on time? We are meeting the HDB officers to sign some papers and handle some paper work, how can be late one?
Instructions was not clear on the HDB letter too, forgot to bring some documents but luckily the officer was so kind and she allowed us to fax in the documents. So next time, those who are going to buy hse, PLS read all the instructions, if it doesnt concern you, and bring ALL the documents even if it is not needed, at least you brought just in case. and remember to photostate a copy for them, they dont offer photostating services for you..
Let's forget about the horrible morning, but went to JB in the early evening to have dinner and watch movie , and to let the car drink *oily water*.
Dinner was good, and cheap, ordered barbequed stingray, omelette, pork ribs, chee chong fan, char kway Teow, hokkien mee... I recommend the chee chong fan! it's not oily, it's only RM 3.50 and it's soo nice to eat. It was a lot of food, i was so full but my stomach was well fed! *grinz*
Watched Little Man , was RM14, super duper cheap man. The show was hilarious! Thumbs up if you want like humour and stupidity. *grins* It was really funny, some sort of a destress show if you feel that you had a hard day at work!
Took some pics along the way as well....

The clouds along the Causeway.. it was a cloudy day, the sun wasnt that bright.

The traffic for the motocycles were bad, there were like millions and millions of them, the cars were only using 1 lane.

The usual place to go for cheap seafood and other types of good food. The weather was really nice that day, cool breeze, cloudy weather, and it didnt rain at all.

4 Sept 2006 - Monday :: My 24th Birthday!!
Tuesday, September 05, 2006
Once again iam older by a year and iam still feeling good!! 24 wonderful years have passed and so much ahead of me to do, and so much to learn and explore my possibilities in the working world. It will still be long to my ambition and goal...
Had a great time with dar which he brought me to Spageddies at Tanglin Mall. Food was nice and delicious and something different, had baked chicken with tomato sauce that comes with cucumber and potatoes..
Plus i used my OUB card to get 1 for 1 on main course. So anyone out there who has a UOB card, make use of such a good offer!!
Walked ard the deserted shopping centre which i have never been b4, there was really nothing to see anyways. not much pp was ard. There was The Market Place, walked ard to see the large rang of groceries, noticed that their wines and liquour was more then what i see in NTUC. They had different types of wines, more than the collection i see in NTUC and other places.

The appetizer that started our meals first.

My bouquet of flowers:: There were 11 stalks of roses in all, and 3 lovely red roses with 8 beautilful white ones...
It was so nice, the petals were so soft and nice to touch, some of the petals were in full bloom and some were not. Took pictures of a single petal and it was beautiful-> My new camera is so cool!!(hehe)

3rd Sept 2006 - Sunday :: Bdae Celebration @ Home & COMEX @ Expo
Monday, September 04, 2006

Birthday cake:: BreadTalk, Tiramisu;Coated with a layer of cream and fruits.

Brother bought this lovely cake for me to celebrate with my family, it was really nice, though there was a really thick layer of cream above. Just removed it savoured on the nice and soft cake.
COMEX Exhibition @ Expo ::
Went to COMEX in the early afternoon to have a look at the latest cameras. Planning to trade in my old Olympus to get a CASIO EXILM. My bro took all the available brochues and the CASIO caught my eye; With 2.7'' screen, long-lasting battery life, 6.0 MP and comes with different kinds of functions to take pics.
All that statisfy my requirements, thus decided to get it. Cost me $499. It was $599 on Sat, with trade in of any camera it will be $499.
And when i went on Sun, the price was reduced to $499. So i still can keep my old camera, and yet get a new one!!
Was super crowded too, had to push my way through the crowd... Parking was crazy too!! Lucky too a bus there, if not had to wait to get into the car park and also to find a space!

1 Sept 2006 - Friday :: Dinner at Bottle Tree Village
Sunday, September 03, 2006
Had a great dinner with Dar at Bottle Tree Village which is tucked away from the busy streets of Sembawang. It's located near Sembawang Park, not really accessible by bus but it's just a few mintues drive away from the main road of Sembawang. If you want to go, it's @ 60 Jalan Mempurong S(759058)
The ambience is nice and romantic, we sat near the edge of the beach, thus able to see pp fishing and hear the waves of the sea. Smell the sea breeze, but hear couple of kids running and shouting as there is a playgrd for them to play in while waiting for the food. There's many families ard, a few couples, but the main thing is the food. They served zi char style, it's something different from the neighbourhood zi char. Couple of pics i took.
That's me waiting for the food to arrive.

The finished eaten food, was super full after that

The main attraction. The Bottle Tree. It was said that this tree was imported frm Australia & it's VERY huge. It is said that you need 6 of 10-little yr old girls to circle ard the tree!

On a little cute mushroom.
