Trying to kick away the monday blues, i surfed the web for some accessories stuffs, such as ear rings, hair clips, necklaces etc. Anything that i can find. I found some really nice ones, and had the urge to do some online shopping. But i realise that buying the accessories from this particular site is really expensive.
Saw some designs that i had already owned, and i bought them from BBK. It cost so much cheaper to purchase from BBK, at least twice the cost cheaper. Saw some of the bags too, tempted to buy them online. BUT, i cant. Going BBK in Jan, so got to controll the urge and save the money for shopping spree in Jan!!!!
A girl's urge to shop is really strong and bad... so tempting to buy, anything pretty and glittery, iam attracted to it for sure.
Arent they soo nice and pretty!!! OMG......

28 October 2006 – Saturday :: A well day spent

Went to GHA as scheduled with mummy as she had the day off, Dave wasn’t free to go as he had to wait for the PUB personal to turn on our electricity and water supply for our home. Had a hard timing finding the venue as Tampines wasn’t my area. Had actually typed the wrong info in streetdirectory.com which then lead me to alight at the wrong bus stop and we had to walk & search for the block under the hot & humid weather.
However things turned out for the better after reaching and trying out the dresses, had found a nice & sweet long dress, & it in one of my fav colour, Pink. Has a choice of blue or pink, but my mum & the coordinator said pink looked sweeter and cuter. It matched what I initially wanted, laces at the top of the dress accompanying with a few beaded designs, but didnt expect it to be a long dress, but as long it's nice i dont care if it's long or short as time is running up. Dont want to drag this selection for so long as there are impt things to settle and i want all matters to be settled at least 1 week before the big day. In case anything crops up, i still have time to rectify and solve the problem, i always believe in a contingency plan.
So next is to get a matching flower bouquet to match the dress n also the shoes, earings, hair accessories etc...

Tuesday - 24 October 2006:: Public Holiday
Went to choose my dress for my ROM at diGio at Tanjng Pagar and I was shocked that their selection of dresses was so ugly. Most of them look so aunty and it’s as if it was worn for performing at a “getai”. No offense though, but it was not ROM quality.
Was super pissed and disappointed at the sametime, had no mood after the selection as I thought I would not be able to find a dress that I like. Plans were then made to MTM or buy a 2nd hand tea-dress from forumers as they had already gone through their wedding day. This whole matter spoiled my holiday mood to an extent that I quarrelled with my bf, coz my mood was already bad to start with.
Few days passed and after speaking and chatting with a few of the forumers, I was told that I can actually go to another outlet at Tampines or Yishun to choose their selection instead, I didn’t waste any time and called my coordinator and asked him to arrange for me a appointment with someone over at Tampines – Golden Horse Award. Both diGio and GHA are known as “sisters” outlets, under the same boss. So I had to grab the chance to find a nice dress at the Tampines outlet, no matter what I had to find a dress! So my appointment with GHA will be on Saturday, at 1pm; 1 hour after they open their shop for business as the early bird catches the best worm. Haha…

Lots of decisions have been made and we have decided to continue as planned. ROm date will be on the 1st Dec 06. Why? Had tried to go to the website to change the date but seems like need to wait for the notice to expire before able to change, and by then if the notice expire, i dont think i can get a good date in Feb. So we decided to go ahead as planned.
Meaning solid preparations have to be made asap, and bookings and reservations has to be made. Just confirmed with Carol, my ring pillow maker, on my final designs and had given her the green light for production. Haha, seems like part of a process in my dailiy worklife, "Production": green light for production is part of a process where the user has accepted the final product and thus allowing us, the analyst to bring the program to the right system so that all users are able to use the program, it's like a finalised product.
Collected my keys already, and now iam a owner of my own home!! haha Went to clean my new home over at Fajar Road. Basic sweeping and mopping of the floor was done, Planning to paint a layer of 1 coat in the rooms before the final hard-core cleaning comes in, cant clean much as our utitilies are not yet turned on. Next will then be getting some furnitures and basic stuffs before we can rent out to people to stay.
Had a fun timing doing cleaning, had brought his dog down to the new house and he was busy running ard the place till he just became so tired that he wanted to sleep while we were busy cleaning the house. Lazy dog....

Havent been blogging and writing my entries for sometimes already. Tired after a day's work, as usual. Have been allocated to do more work, which means more responsibilities. Recently, my dept director asked me to be the Chairperson of End-of-Year-Dinner: kenna arrowed with more work again.
So much has happened recently, with the house and preparations for ROM.
My 2nd appointment with HDB will be tml, 16 Oct06, which means will be given the key. Inspection was done on Sat, 14/10 and it was ok. The house is in order, just need a few coats of paints, buying the furniture and then it's all set for renting out for the next 2 yrs. No renov is needed as it's already in quite good condition, just needs cleaning and polishing that's all.
And my ROM date will be postponed to Jan, which initially was on 1st Dec 06, we have calculated and thus decided to make it later. It would be easier and wouldnt be too rush, in terms of timing and finances. We have decided do studio & maybe outdoor shoots, since the date is in Jan, thus from now till then, save save save!!!
Had planned to go Bangkok with Sandra and Kinsoon, but because my bf wants to wait for his bonus then travel, so in the end plans were not fulfilled. And i had planned to go Batam instead! Haha, a nearby place instead. Never been to Batam before, so why not go for 2D1N, and we decided to take the honeymoon package at one of the hotels. Since it came with massage and candlelight dinner with affordable price, why not? An alternative to BBK :: cheap shopping & food.

Had also finished designing my invitation card, a simple one, just to inform the guest of the venue and timing. Here's my finished product:
Had fun doing it, really had this sense of satisfaction upon completion of this work. Had ideas of doing it while researching online and looked at other people's sample at the same time.
Oh well still have a lot of other things to research , to find out , to settle, to book.... Really a lot of preparations to do - decisions had to made and agreed by both parties, budget need to be settled and agreed by both parties too. So an advice: Try to start early on preparations.
Anyways having a mahjong session cum drinking session later tonight, just for fun and to destress and to chill......

It has been sometime since i updated my blog. Been lazy, not much happenings have been going on. The usual in and out of work during the weekday and the lazing, nuaing,reading novel at home on weekends. I like it actually......
Other than that, also busy surfing the web for more info and ideas for my ROM day.. Iam preparing everything on own, it is fun but then hectic. Just finished designing my invitation card, it's a simple one and it felt so satisfying doing my own card. It may not be as sophiscated as compared with the design shops, but it is nice to my eyes. It's so simple as long you have the right tools aka Photoshop. What wonders it can do as long as you are designing anything on the computer, but i still have a little problem with it as there are still some functions iam not sure of how to use it...Other than that, it was fun doing through the night on saturday.
Still need to get so many other stuffs, planning to go SpotLight to get the necessary materials for gifts, ring pillow, deco etc. Now i feel that i prefer to prepare events rather than sitting in front of the computer the whole day and do work. Hehe, maybe my next job? *grinz*
