Had a great time with best friend and her family where she celebrated early birthday for herself and her brother.
Her relatives came, so did her little cousins. Had fun playing with them, though they were playing Risk, a game which i don't understand the point of conquering continents and countries...
Nevertheless, it was a fun-fill night with food and a nice chocolate fudge cake from Four Leaves. I like the wafer wedged in-between the cake and cream, it had a crunch to it. But the night was also hot and humid, and by the end of the night, i was sticky and sweaty.

Mummy had to go for acupuncture at Geylang so we brought her there. At the same time, having fun with taking pictures while Dar was driving along the way to look for good food at Geylang.
It was a pretty hot day, and the sky was really blue and with those fluffy clouds, it really looks like a Spring/Summer season photoshoot out from a magazine. But lucky we were in the car, so we had air con as a back up. I was already feeling sticky due to the humid, didnt want to feel sweaty as i really cannot stand the feeling of being sticky in the first place.
So had fun taking pictures until Dar and brother were made to be in the pics, saying that i have nothing better to do, aka being 'bo liao'. But i just continued to have fun with my camera anyways.

It was a hot and humid day, and after some of my colleagues said there were free cones of ice cream from B&J, we being typical Sporeans headed to get a cone ourselves.
Nearest to us was The Cathay's B&J outlet. It was a fun trip to The Cathay as i seldom get the chance to pop by that shopping mall that has the huge cinema.
Most of the shops there are not up yet at all, so i suppose there is nothing to window shop/shop even if i make a trip there.
Anyways, me and colleagues went to join in the fun of queuing and enjoy the greatness of B&J ice creams!!! Tried the Cookies and Cream flavor, tastes different from the usual cookies and cream i tried. It's nice, but a tiny winy little sweet. Maybe it's the mindset that since it's B&J, it tastes nicer. Haha, see how brands can screw the brain.

Had a pleasant surprise when i saw 2 boxes of Lana cakes in my fridge, however when i opened to see what flavors of cakes it was, the cake was already half eaten! Must be my brother who was the first to attack it.
Arggh... My family loves the choc fudge cakes and we have been buying their cakes since i was a kid. The taste is still the same as ever.
However though the taste is same as before, the price is not the same. I understand the theory of inflation, rising costs, increment of the GST rate, but you dont have to increase the cost of the cake till so high for a weight of 500g. i remembered paying $18, ok that was like many, many years ago. Last few years, the price was $20. And now, i heard it became $27. $27 for a mere 500g cake??
I suppose business must have been really good ever since they were made known through the ST. But you dont have to increase to freaking $27!! But no matter what the price is, iam sure there will be loyal and new customers who will pay a visit to the family-owned shop, no matter if the price becomes $30.
So if you happen to be at Bukit Timah area, be sure to pop by and buy a box to try out.

Want to share a place where they serve nice crabs in chilli sauce. The fried buns are also a must try, it's cripsy on the outside, but tender and soft on the inside, and match with the cilli sauce; délicieux.

It has been sometime since i made an entry.
Recent happenings:Headed to
Genting from the 3rd-5th April. It was sometime back since I last went to Genting, the last time what i can remember is that i couldn't step into the casino. BUT NOW, my first step was made and it was so much fun!! The atmosphere at some tables were intense, player leaving a stack of cash for exchange of chips; banker distributing chips to player for their wins...
There were indeed a lot of uncles and aunties surrounding the tables, no matter at what game table you are looking at. I had my wins at a few tables, but at the end of the day, lost a couple of hundreds. It was an experience and definitely fun, and i cant wait for my next trip there. Maybe instead of going to BBK, i should try my luck at the casinos. *evil grinz*
